Patients can select from one of three sherbet inspired operatory suites in melon, lemon, or lime. A neutral pallet of gray & white was added in the common areas to blend these operatory suites. This melon operatory suite juxtaposes cool molded glass sinks & counters with warm melon walls and cherry floors. In the waiting room FX Design utilized geometric patterned carpeting in gray to create a calm and cool waiting room for the dental patients. Patients waiting for dental procedures can enjoy a latte at the cafe table. This highly functional patient check-in & billing area is accented with stunning granite countertops, playing off the melon geometric wallcovering and rich cherry cabinets. This dental practice provides patients a choice of which operatory suite they wish to have their dental procedure performed in. They can choose from cool lime, mellow melon, or sunny lemon. Lime green operatory suite creates a cool, calming, and soothing atmosphere to relax away stress. Sunny lemon yellow operatory provides the feeling of the summer sun. In the Breakroom FX Design played off a gray pallet by selecting yellow tiles, walls and counters to create this unique breakroom. The Clinically clean lab area & panoramic X-ray room have touches of playful lime hues and geometric shapes to offset the sterile environment.   Salem Dental “The results were stunning! She realized she could potentially lose new clients because of the appearance of the patient waiting area & dental operatory rooms. She wanted her practice to reflect a modern European flair and realized she needed professional help to accomplish her goals. She hired Laura Bordeaux, ASID of FX Dental Design, an interior design firm located in Glastonbury, CT. Dr. Gorenbeyn envisioned a contemporary, state of the art practice that reflected a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere. She already purchased multi-colored operatory chairs & dental cabinets. Laura realized she needed to select warm wood flooring and neutral grays to blend the operatory rooms to the common areas, corridor and waiting room. FX Dental Design studies the human response to color and healing. Pastel greens reduce stress and have a calming effect, creating a sense of serenity while tangerine provides a feeling of alertness and warmth. With this in mind, she set out to optimize each patients’ experience by developing three sherbet inspired dental suites- Orange, Lemon & Lime. On one hand, if a patient is feeling a bit anxious, they can select the cool lime green suite to reduce their stress, relax and calm their nerves. On the other hand, if a patient is feeling dreary, they can choose the sunny lemon suite to brighten their day. If they are feeling chilly, they may prefer the tangerine suite which will provide them a sense of warmth and comfort. The end result was a stunning practice, complete with a digital X-ray and paperless set up.
